Saina Nehwal on Monday scored a comfortable victory over Hong Kong’s Yip Pui Yin to enter the finals of Malaysian Master tournament.
Saina beat Yip Pui Yin 21-13 21-10 in the semi-final game to enter the final of tournament.

Saina Nehwal had recently recovered from a knee surgery and this win was desperately needed to boost her confidence. The London Olympics bronze winner Saina, will face Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong in the summit clash. The World No 67 Thai shuttler stunned World No 19 Cheung Ngan Yi, seeded second, 21-19 20-22 21-18 in another semi-final match that lasted an hour and 16 minutes.
In the match, Saina Nehwal enjoyed a 6-2 record against Yin who had previously beaten the player in 2010 Asian Games.This was Saina’s seventh win after registering another brilliant performance.
Saina Nehwal opened at 4-1 lead early but soon lost control of the match to Yin’s advantage. She amassed a 7-4 advantage at one stage. Despite a strong game from the Hyderabad girl, she sticked to 12-9 lead. But then Nehwal pulled up her socks only to gain 5 straight points and 7 more points on the trot.
In the second game there was a pretty big margin between the two shuttlers, Saina Nehwal took a lead 6-0 and then extending it without giving any chance to her rival and defeating the Hong Kong player . Nehwal thus sealed her position at the finals of USD 120,000 Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold here today.
