Highlights Cricket Score, India vs South Africa, 2nd Test: After an engrossing day of test match cricket on Day 1 of the 2nd Test at Centurion, India and South Africa resume the 2nd days play. The first day was one of the mixed fortunes as South Africa got off to a strong start on the day and the Indian bowlers found the going difficult. The Indian quickies were unable to trouble the Proteas openers and the ability of Bhuvneshwar Kumar to swing the new ball was badly missed. Aiden Markram played an impressive 94-runs knock, however, other SA batsmen failed to make their mark. Notably, India bounced back when R Ashwin claimed the wicket of Aiden Markram and halted the Proteas progress. Far Du Plessis and Hashim Amla continued to score on what appeared to be a batting-friendly track. Amla was stopped in his tracks by an accurate Hardik Pandya throw. Dangerman AB De Villiers was scalped by the returning Ishant Sharma. India got the upper hand in the last moments of the day as Quinton de Lock and Vernon Philander were sent to the pavilion for ducks. The aim today for India will be to get rid of Du Plessis whois standing like a rock and then finish off the tail at the earliest. They will be looking to restrict the hosts below 325 while the Proteas would like to add 70-80 odd runs with the help of their captain.
