While the Mercedes driver finished Friday’s both practice sessions as the fastest driver before crashing in torrential rain, Italian team Ferrari have brought an upgraded engine to Montreal with a power boost.
Hamilton said that although his car was feeling really good out there, Ferrari had possibly picked up the pace with their engine, the BBC reported.
However, the two-time world champion believes that they are still going to be strong and are in good form, and feel good with the car just like the last race.
Hamilton, who is leading the Drivers’ championship with 126 points, will head into the race 10 points clear of team mate Nico Rosberg.
