With IPL auction 2018 set to take place in Bengaluru on January 27 and 28, a total of 578 players have been finalised by the IPL Governing Council that will go under the hammer.

With IPL auction 2018 set to take place in Bengaluru on January 27 and 28, a total of 578 players have been finalised by the IPL Governing Council that will go under the hammer. In IPL auction 2018, a total of 360 Indian players including the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, KL Rahul and Dinesh Karthik will be available for the franchises. Among the foreign players, England’s Ben Stokes and New Zealand’s Colin Munro will be the major attractions but names like Glenn Maxwell, Joe Root, Hashim Amla, Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard can also start a bidding war.

The IPL player auction 2018 will also provide an opportunity to the uncapped Indian players to earn a decent amount. Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda will be the hottest properties in this category along with the current India Under-19 captain Prithvi Shaw who is making headlines for all the right reasons.

All the franchises have already retained their star players. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni were the top names retained by their respective teams while youngsters like Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel were also trusted. South African all-rounder Chris Morris was retained by Delhi Daredevils while KKR retained the services of Sunil Narine and Andre Russell.
