Australian all-rounder Ashton Turner is having a miserable time in the T20 format of the game. Turner has not been able to score runs and now has an unwanted record to his name. Turner has scored 5 consecutive ducks in T20 matches.
The first duck came against India in the T20 match between India and Australia, whereas the second duck came while he was playing for Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League.
In the IPL 2019, Turner has recorded three consecutive golden ducks for his franchise Rajasthan Royals. Gautam Gambhir and Shardul Thakur held the record for most consecutive ducks in T20 matches with three dismissals. In the match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals on Monday, Turner was dismissed by Ishant Sharma for zero on the first ball. Ishant Sharma bowled a good slower ball which Turner failed to pick and ended up getting caught at extra cover by the 20-year-old Sherfane Rutherford.
