IPL 2018 Score, CSK vs SRH: Looking to seal a top-two slot in the league, Sunrisers Hyderabad were asked to do that the tough way: defending a total against Chennai Super Kings in Pune. Kane Williamson said he would have loved to chase himself but Sunrisers have been one of the better sides defending totals this season.
Both teams made a change each Super Kings welcomed back swing bowler Deepak Chahar, who should bowl through the Powerplay overs. Sunrisers’ Yusuf Pathan turned up sore and made way for Deepak Hooda, a bit of a like-for-like replacement. The shoulder injury that kept Wriddhiman Saha out of Sunrisers’ last match has not healed completely yet. Shreevats Goswami got another game on Sunday.

6:58 pm: Chennai Super Kings require another 46 runs with 10 wickets and 41 balls remaining.
6:17 pm: DLS Par scores for CSK after five overs: 35/0, 39/1, 44/2
5:13 pm: Willey is once again bowling too full, something his captain was furious about in the previous game.
4:47 pm: Time for the first of our time-outs. Hot day, players will welcome a break of sorts.
4:28 pm: So Dhoni following the same template as he did against the RCB last week. 6 overs of pace followed by 8 overs of spin and Bravo, Chahar at death. Key for SRH is to be patient and keep the wickets intact.
4:16 pm: I don’t think opening with Willey qualifies as an experiment. Willey hasn’t anyways faced a single ball this IPL, so giving him a license to launch an all-out attack and surprise the opposition bowlers wouldn’t do much harm. Rayudu is more suited to bat at number 4 when he knows the equation slightly better and decide on how to pace his innings. I don’t think CSK had plans to open with Rayudu before the IPL started, it’s his phenomenal run that forced the team to let him open and face more balls. — But there’s also a case of not needing to fix something that ain’t broke. Especially with Watson delivering.
4:00 pm: Right, all set to go. Deepak Chahar returns and has been given the new ball straightaway. The Yellow Army, who have taken a train down from Chennai, are in full force. Let’s go.
