IPL Live Cricket Score, MI vs RPS: So, we have our first finalist of this year’s Indian Premier League and it will be a team from Pune, for the first time. Steve Smith and MS Dhoni deserved a pat on their back. They marshaled their troops brilliantly and the bowlers responded as well. The young Washington Sundar looks like a bright prospect for India. It was his night to shine as he finished with the figures of 16/3. Ajinkya Rahane finally came good and what a time he chose for that, the big game! Manoj Tiwary has been a real revelation this season and once again he batted beautifully.

Watch Washington Sundar’s spell here:

But, the man who changed the game was once Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The former Indian captain came in at a tough time and played a blinder at the end to take his side to a respectable total. He was active in the field as well, changing the field and helping with bowling changes. Mumbai Indians would be disappointed. They dominated the match for first 18 overs but allowed it to slip it away. However, they still have a chance to make it to the final.

Here are highlights from MI vs RPS match:

11:38 PM: That’s it! RPS have won the game by 20 runs.

MI – 142/9 (20)

Lasith Malinga -7 (2)

Jasprit Bumrah – 16 (11)

11:32 PM: SIX! McClenaghan cleared the rope off the last ball of 19th over but it was a brilliant piece of fielding from Ajinkya Rahane on the boundary rope. He almost pulled off the catch of the season but his foot touched the rope.

11:28 PM: 39 runs are needed of last 12 balls. Mitchell McClenaghan is at the crease with Jasprit Bumrah. The match is going away from the Mumbai Indians.

11:21 PM: These late blows from MS Dhoni changed the game:

11:18 PM: Mumbai Indians need 54 runs from 24 balls. It’s getting very difficult for the hosts. But, we have seen miracles in the past and Wankhede would love one here.

11:15 PM: GONE! That’s the biggest of all wickets. Parthiv Patel goes. Shardul Thakur has changed the game in one over.

11:12 PM: OUT! Wicket for Shardul Thakur. Krunal Pandya goes for 15, There was no need of that stroke, careless from Pandya. Meanwhile, Parthiv Patel has completed his half-century.

11:07 PM: FOUR! Clever from Krunal Pandya. Mumbai Indians needs more of that. Its time to bat sensibly and not to get too excited. Pandya follows it with a SIX! Almost got out there.

11:05 PM: The dew was supposed to play an important role but that hasn’t really happened allowing the RPS bowlers to actually dominate the game.

10:56 PM: MI – 81/5 (12)

Parthiv Patel – 46 (31)

Krunal Pandya – 2 (3)

10:52 PM: The new man in is Krunal Pandya. He has had a decent season so far as well. This is the last recognised batting pair for the Mumbai Indians. Parthiv Patel needs to stay in till the last over.

10: 49 PM: Just 4 runs from Dan Christian’s first over. GONE! OUT! Hardik Pandya is gone. That’s just sad! He timed it way too well and it carried to the fielder. It was a good shot but Pandya has to go. Mumbai Indians – 75/5 (11.1)

10:46 PM: Here’s a look at classic Ajinkya Rahane:

10:42 PM: Adam Zampa is into the attack. So, more spin now. It’s not been easy to score against spinners on this wicket. This spell can be crucial.

SIX! No sign of pressure on Hardik Pandya.

10:39 PM: Washington Sundar has changed the match single-handedly here but Parthiv Patel is still going strong.

MI – 62/4 (9)

Parthiv Patel – 42 (24)

Hardik Pandya – 5 (2)

10:35 PM: Out! Another one down for Mumbai Indians. Its the big man, Kieron Pollard. He departs for only 7 and the hosts are in huge trouble.

10:32 PM: Kieron Pollard is out in the middle now. He will have to read the situation well and bat out of his comfort zone. A lot will depend on how he performs tonight.

10:30 PM: Watch MS Dhoni’s knock here:

10:23 PM: Two wickets in the same over  for Washington Sundar and two big ones as well. He got rid of both Rohit Sharma and Ambati Rayudu. Mumbai is in trouble now.

10:17 PM: Heartbreak for Lendl Simmons! He has to go in the most unfortunate manner. The West Indian was backing a little too much. Pathiv played a straight drive, Shardul got a finger to it and Simmons was out.

10:16 PM: Parthiv Patel welcomed Shardul Thakur with a superb four before almost getting out on the next ball. He is going after everything at the moment.

10:12 PM: Parthiv Patel is looking in brilliant form. Anything slightly short of length and he is putting it away for a boundary.

10:04 PM: SIX! Big shot from the little man. Parthiv Patel dispatched that one over the square-leg fielder. Good start for Mumbai.

MI – 9/0 (2 overs)

Parthiv Patel – 7 (5)

Lendl Simmons – 2 (7)

10:00 PM: The run-chase is on. Parthiv Patel and Lendl Simmons are in the middle for Mumbai Indians. Its a decent start for Pune though, only 1 run off the 1st over.

9:42 PM: Good comeback by Jasprit Bumrah. Two dot balls to finish with and he also ran out Tiwary but 41 runs from last 2 overs are going to hurt Rohit Sharma. 163 on this wicket won’t be easy to chase.

RPS – 162/4 (20 overs)

MS Dhoni – 40* (26)

Manoj Tiwary – 58 (48 )

9:40 PM: SIX! Another one from Dhoni’s blade. He has taken the score past 160. That’s what he is known for, clearing boundaries.

9:38 PM: 26 runs came from the 19th over and MS Dhoni is looking in good touch. That has made the last over very important for both the sides. SIX! Another from MS Dhoni, his first against Bumrah.

9:34 PM: Another SIX! This time it’s MS Dhoni. The Kiwi fast bowler follows it with two wides. The pressure is building on him. He has now conceded most number of fours and sixes in this edition of IPL.

9:32 PM: SIX off the free-hit. That’s exactly what Pune wanted. This is proving to be an expensive over for Mumbai Indians. 12 runs off first two balls.

9:30 PM: Mitchell McClenaghan will bowl the second last over, Tiwary is on strike. Pune needs a big one here and he gets its away for a four. Its a NO BALL! So, that’s a free hit for Pune as well.

9:23 PM: Jasprit Bumrah is back into the attack. He will bowl 2 out of last 3 overs. In last 5 overs, only one boundary has come. That’s not good for the Supergiant.

9:15 PM: We are into the final 4 overs. Pune is at 109/3 at the end of the 16th over. They would like to cross the 160-run mark and with MS Dhoni still in there, it is possible.

9:10 PM:  HUGE, GIGANTIC, Montsrous! Six for MS DHoni. He has hit Karn Sharma into the stands. Are we up for a Dhoni special tonight?

9:08 PM: RPS – 96/3 (14 overs)
Manoj Tiwary – 35 (33)
MS Dhoni – 2 (4)

8:59 PM: Gone! That’s the big wicket! Rahane has to go for 56. Trapped in front of the wicket by Karn Sharma. His brilliant knock comes to an end, Karn Sharma is pumped up.

8:54 PM:  Poor from McClenaghan! He lets that go past him, half-century for Ajinkya Rahane. He is full of confidence.

8:48 PM: At the end of 10th over, Pune is at 63/2. Lasith Malinga is back in the attack. He’ll be bowling his 3rd over of the match and Rahane smashes him for a boundary past the point fielder.

8:44 PM: Fifty-run partnership between Ajinkya Rahane and Manoj Tiwari. It took them 44 balls to reach there but it has been a good partnership for Rising Pune. They need these two to stay in there for longer.

8:40 PM: SIX! Rahane welcomes Hardik Pandya in style. FIFTY up for Pune.

8:39 PM: After 8 overs Pune have scored 43 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Not the kind of start they wanted but the dugout would be happy that Rahane is still in there.

8:30 PM: SIX! And, a huge one from Manoj Tiwary. That’s what Pune wanted. That stroke will release some pressure.

8:24 PM: A decent start for Karn Sharma, just 7 runs off it. Lasith Malinga is back into the attack, he bowled a beautiful first over.

8:21 PM: The ball is moving both ways and the batsmen are finding it tough to score runs. Someone needs to put the foot on paddle and start a counter-attack. Rahane needs to bat till the end so it has to Tiwary.

8:19 PM: RPS – 24/2 (4 overs)
Manoj Tiwary – 3 (5)
Ajinkya Rahane – 18 (15)

8:14 PM: Back to back boundaries for Ajinkya Rahane. He has got himself going but Pune wants more of them. Rahane is joined by Manoj Tiwary at the other end. The score moves on to 19/2.

8:10 PM: Gone! Steve Smith goes for 1, Lasith Malinga strikes. Mumbai Indians are on top now. Both the fast bowlers have struck in their first over. This is a dream start for Mumbai.

8:07 PM: It’s a dream start for the Mumbai Indians. The new man in captain Steve Smith. The stadium is full of energy.

8:04 PM: Gone, bowled! A brilliant delivery from Mitchell McClenaghan! He’s got the big wicket. Rahul Tripathi has to go. RPS – 6/1 (1 over).

8:01 PM: Only time will tell if it was the right decision:

7:55 PM: So, we are live. The players are out in the middle, the crowd is excited and it is going to be an exciting game of cricket. Rahul Tripathi will open the batting with Ajinka Rahane.

7:50 PM: Here are some live visuals from the field. Is there a better sight than a smiling MS Dhoni?

7:47 PM: We need to field well, bowl well and bat well, says opener, Lendl Simmons, ahead of the match. He looks confident of his side’s chances in the match. Mumbai Indians have had 9 different men of the matches this season far in their 10 matches.

7:43 PM: Another interesting exclusion from Mumbai is of Harbhajan Singh. The reason behind it could be that Mumbai has no left-handed batsman in its top 7.

7:40 PM: Nitish Rana is not playing for the Mumbai Indians. He has scored 333 runs from 13 matches so far. He has been replaced by Ambati Rayudu in the side.

7:32 PM: Here are the playing XIs:
