In a repeat of 2016 final, Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2017 opener. By the time IPL begins, Dave Warner would already have been in India for over a month. Sure, his performance has been rather poor in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar series, but Warner is a big game player and has been a consistent performer for the SRH. He also brings his captaincy skills to the team and will look to defend the cup with vigorous interest.
Yuvraj has generally been inconsistent in the IPL but his recent comeback into the Indian team against England saw him giving major glimpses of what the southpaw could unleash, given he bats up the order and the team management shows enough faith in him.

Kumar’s economy rate in T20s is a delightful sight. In a sport dominated by heavy bats and cultured slogging, Kumar has managed to keep his own. Bhuvi’s speed has also gone up and he has added yorkers to his already long arsenal. Although, fitness might be concern for the Indian pacer, he will play an important role if SRH plan to successfully defend their title this year.
