The third test match between India and New Zealand could not get any better as Virat Kohli has ended his drought of centuries in home by hitting a double ton at the Holkar stadium, Indore on Sunday before tea.
Prior to this match, Virat faced a gap of 17 innings to hit his next ton at home. In February 2013, Virat scored his last century at the Chepauk stadium against Australlia. It is also a fact that after scoring three centuries in the first 13 test innings at home, Kohli had to wait for 17 innings to score his next big knock on Saturday.
Only three Indian captains have more Test centuries than Kohli, who now has six centuries since being elevated to Test captaincy and they are Sunil Gavaskar (11), Mohammad Azharuddin (9) and Sachin Tendulkar (7) respectively.
