Suryakumar Yadav and local hero Sanju Samson are set to take centre stage as India looks to finish their home T20I series against New Zealand on a high. With the series finale scheduled for January 31 at the Greenfield International Stadium, fans in Kerala are scrambling to grab the last remaining seats for what is expected to be a packed house.
India vs New Zealand: 80% of Thiruvananthapuram tickets sold within 12 hours
The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) opened ticket sales on January 21. The response was overwhelming: the KCA confirmed that 80% of the available inventory was sold out within just 12 hours of going live.
Tickets were primarily made available through the Ticketgenie mobile app and website, rather than the usual BookMyShow platform used for earlier legs of the tour.

While the premium hospitality boxes are nearly exhausted, a few tickets in the general stands are still popping up as carts expire.

India vs New Zealand: High demand for Sanju Samson’s homecoming
The “Samson Factor” has played a massive role in the ticket frenzy. Although the wicketkeeper-batter was part of the squad during the 2019 T20I in the city, he did not feature in the playing XI. This time, with Samson being a core part of the T20I setup under Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy, fans are desperate to see their local icon in action on home soil.
