Suryakumar Yadav: I feel we purposely played six batters today. We wanted to have five perfect bowlers and wanted to challenge ourselves. Like for example, if we're chasing 200 or 180, and we wanted to see if we were two down or three down, how does it look? But then it's fine at the end of the day. And we wanted to play all the players who are part of the World Cup squad. Otherwise, we would have played other ones. (On opting to bat second) We've been batting really well when we've batted first. So I wanted the guys to take that responsibility if we're chasing 180 or 200, and two wickets or three wickets are down, and see how we bat. So it's a good challenge. Hopefully, if we get an opportunity again, we might chase again. But at the end of the day, good learning.

Mitchell Santner: The way we started in the powerplay was what India were doing to us. Especially after the last game, you don't want guys to go into a shell. They set us up for a decent score. Finished up by Daryl, who took us to a good total. We are thinking about what we are likely to get at the World Cup. We have a couple of guys back for the last game, which is nice. Wickets at the start are crucial, as it makes our job as spinners easier.

Finally, the wicket falls for India.

Can't believe I am writing this in this series. A New Zealand bowler, bowling outside powerplay, has gone for three runs, taken a review, and nearly had a wicket. But the review is wasted as Ish Sodhi starts well.

Cracking shot from Rinku sees him hit a four. He tries to make room on the next ball, but nearly finds the fielder.

Dropped!! Will that count as a dropped catch? By Phillips' standard, yes, but it would have been tough for someone to get even close to the ball. Rinku is living dangerously here.

Brilliant fielding from Foulkes at square leg as he saves three runs, certainly. But in the very next ball a beautiful backfoot punch from Samson sees him and India add four runs to their tally.

This is unbelievable. 15 runs from the first five balls of a Bumrah over. And wait, an edge takes that past four and Bumrah goes for 19 in his final over in this innings.

Wicket!! In the air and Rinku Singh makes no mistake catching the skyer. This is his fourth catch this evening apparently. And this is the joint-most by a non-wicketkeeper Indian fielder in T20Is. Ajinkya Rahane too took four catches in a T20I.

Wicket!! Run out!! A direct hit from Pandya sees a diving Santner short of his crease, and the Kiwi skipper would have to take a long walk back to the dugout.

Sanju Samson suggests India skipper take the review for caught behind, and the review is wasted.

Wicket!! Oh dear, Chapman is not having the rub of the green in his favour at all as he gets caught in the deep and New Zealand are now five down. Bishnoi has a wicket.
