Jayant Yadav today slammed a century today England at Wankhede Stadium . It was a stunner from somebody who had come to bat at number 9. He paced his innings quite well with skipper Virat Kohli at the other hand who had also slammed adouble ton, who is the first Indian skipper to hit three double tons since taking over the mettle of the team in the longest format of the game.
Yadav became the first Indian batsmen to score a century after coming on to bat lower down the order at No. 9. The Haryana player made his debute for the national team in the first Test match of the series against England and has proved his class both with the bat and the ball. He came on to bat for the team when it was in a tough position after losing seven wickets in quick succession at 364 runs on board. Yadav and Kohli played carefully took the innings forward from there on.

During his innings, Yadav hit 14 boundaries and played with a level head. Both Virat Kohli and he, put together over 200 runs to extend India’s lead and take the match away from the visitors. The pair also put together the most runs for the eighth wicket getting past the earlier record held by Mohammad Azharuddin and Anil Kumble after they had put 161 runs together.
