The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently confirmed the line-up for India Women’s T20 squad ahead of the upcoming limited-overs series against Sri Lanka.
The Sri Lanka Women’s National Cricket Team and the India Women’s National Cricket Team are all slated to face each other in an electric five-match T20I series in December 2025. The upcoming series is the first for India since their ODI World Cup win in November.
India-W vs Sri Lanka-W: Indian squad revealed
For their latest expedition, India’s ‘Women In Blue’ will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur with Smriti Mandhana as her deputy. Most of the players in the World Cup-winning squad have been retained for the upcoming series. Other players to make up the squad include Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harleen Deol, Amanjot Kaur, Arundhati Reddy, Kranti Gaud, and Renuka Singh Thakur.
A big addition to the squad is that of the player of the match from the recently concluded World Cup final, that is of Shafali Verma. Richa Ghosh and Kamalini are two wicket-keepers in the squad.

Sri Lanka Women’s Tour of India 2025 Schedule
The upcoming series is scheduled to take place towards the end of December and would mark itself as the cast campaign of 2025 for India’s women in Blue. The initial two games will be played in Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Whereas the final three games are scheduled to take place in Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. The schedule for the series has been listed as follows:

The most recent T20I match between the two teams was during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on October 9, 2024, where India Women won by 82 runs in Dubai.
