T20 World Cup 2026 Points Table: As the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 enters Super 8, the group toppers have been identified with one brilliant outlier in Zimbabwe, who defeated the likes of Australia and Sri Lanka as they reached the summit of Group B.
India and the West Indies set the tone and South Africa followed with their win over New Zealand. But it was really the story of Zimbabwe that stun all.
Group A: Pakistan reach Super 8
Pakistan have joined India, who had remained the only team to have qualified from Group A with a perfect record. The USA, having completed their group games with 4 points and a positive NRR (+0.788), could not reach the Super 8. If Pakistan had lost their final match against Namibia (Match 35), the USA would made the Super 8s back-to-back. But that did not happen. Namibia finished at the bottom.
Group B: Zimbabwe continue their winning momentum
The biggest shock of the tournament is Australia’s elimination so far. But that’s past as Zimbabwe have now beaten Sri Lanka as well. With this, they lead Group B and Sri Lanka follow.
Group C: England and West Indies sail through
The West Indies secured their berth early, and they were joined by England, who overcame a spirited Italian side by 24 runs before having escaped a scare against Nepal. While Nepal registered a stunning last-over win against Scotland in Match 33, it served only as a consolation victory, as both teams are now officially eliminated from Group C.
Group D: Proteas and Black Caps dominance
South Africa remained the most dominant force in Group D, winning all their matches to secure their spot. They are joined by New Zealand, who confirmed their qualification by dismantling Canada, Afghanistan and UAE.
