Brendan Rodgers will retain his position as Liverpool manager despite a disappointing season in charge.

The Northern Irishman’s tenure had come under doubt after a disastrous performance on the final day of the league, in which Liverpool were hammered 6-1 by Stoke City. However, following a meeting with co-owner Tom Werner part of his end-of-season review, Rodgers stated that he will continue to manage Liverpool and the meeting was to chalk out a ‘comprehensive plan’ aimed at improving performances next season, reported the BBC

In the 2014-15 season, Liverpool finished sixth in the Premier League, managing only 18 wins out of the 38 matches that they played and failed to qualify for the lucrative Champions League.
