It was a chilly afternoon in Tuscany, Italy on December 11, 2017, when Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Indian captain Virat Kolhi promised to love each other for eternity in wedded bliss. It is almost two months now and the Indian fans still cannot get enough of the power couple. So, when Anushka went ecstatic over hubby’s century against South Africa and Virat lets his fans regularly know about wife’s upcoming flick – ‘Pari’, the message is clear – marriage is doing very well indeed. The fans are keeping a tab on even the slightest movement the power couple makes and checking signs for all being well. However, it is not only the fans who are showering love on Virushka, there is someone else also who is making moves to ensure their marriage stays strong. Anushka’s father Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, who has expressed his affection for his son-in-law, made an unusual gesture.
As per Indian Express report, Anushka’s father gifted a book of poems to Kohli. Interestingly, Kohli is an admirer of poetry. The book titled Smokes and Whiskey was written by Tejaswini Divya Naik and it is a collection of 42 poems on relationships. Ajay with his wife Ashima attended the book launch event of Naik’s book and got an autographed copy of it for Virat who is currently in South Africa for a series. The love for poetry that Virushka have was very evident when the couple chose to gift copies of Sufi poet Rumi’s anthology to their guests at the wedding.
Anushka and Kohli had thrown two receptions- in Delhi and Mumbai. Meanwhile, for their honeymoon, the couple went to South Africa where the Indian captain had to play a series against the Safs. While Anushka returned to India alone to resume work on Aanand L Rai’s Zero and promote her home production Pari, Kohli stayed back to join his team for the matches.
