Centre’s open market wheat sale gets lukewarm response
The government's attempt to sell wheat in the open market has not been successful due to low interest from bulk buyers. Only 0.35 million tonnes have been sold out of an allocated 3 MT. Traders predict low participation in the ongoing e-auctions due to stable prices and excess stocks. Additionally, a record 8 MT of rice has been offloaded from the central pool in the open market.
