Rs 24,000 crore stretch of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway likely to be ready by August
The long 8-hour journey between Vadodara and Mumbai may soon become much faster, as the new Mumbai-Vadodara section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is expected to open by August 2026. This 157-km stretch, built at a cost of ₹24,000 crore, will reduce travel time by half and ease traffic on existing routes. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is one of India's biggest road projects.
