Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar and other Congress members stood in the well of the House, insisting on Sarang’s resignation, which led to a chaotic atmosphere. Despite the uproar, the finance minister proceeded with the budget presentation, but his speech was largely drowned out by the commotion.

Three medical universities to be set up in Neemuch, Mandsore and Siwani districts. Apart from these, the Mohan Yadav-led BJP government is planning to set up eight more medical universities in next two years, finance minister Jagdish Devda said while presenting the state Budget in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly during the ongoing Monsoon Session on Wednesday.
For women and child development, the government has allocated Rs 26,560 crore. For health schemes, the government has allocated Rs 21,444 crore.

For the electricity yojana in the state, Rs 520 crore has been allocated. For Gaushalas in the state, Rs 590 crore, and for Forest and Environment Rs 4,725 crore has been allocated.
In police department, the state government will fill 7,500 positions. For Police Awas Yojana, Rs 367 crore has been allocated.
The finance minister said that Rs 500 crore has been allocated for Swacch Mission Yojana. For pensions for the differently abled, Rs 4,421 crore has been allocated.
For upgradation of roads, Rs 900 crore has been allotted, the finance minister said. He added that for sports, the government has allotted Rs 568 crore.
Devda said that three universities will open in the state. He added that for 'Teerth Darshan Yojana' Rs 50 crore will be allotted.
The finance minister Jagdish Devda said Rs 300 crore has been allocated for PM Sinchai Yojana, Rs 4,000 crore has been allocated for PM Awas Yojana, and Rs 5,000 crore has been allocated for Nagar Nikay. He is presenting the Budget amid sloganeering by Opposition leaders.
Finance Minister Devda says that Rs 667 crore has been sanctioned for CM Rise schools. In 2023, in a major initiative aimed at improving education standards, the Madhya Pradesh government had unveiled plans to set up 9,000 'CM Rise' schools throughout the state. Former CM Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan revealed this initiative during his visit to Shajapur district last year.
Under 'Akansha Yojana', the government will spend Rs 10 crore, finance minister Devda said.
Finance Minister Jagdish Devda said that for the 'CM Ladli Behna Yojana' and 'CM-Laxmi Yojana', the government has sanctioned Rs 36,560 crore. The Ladli Behna Yojana, initiated by the Madhya Pradesh Government on January 28, 2023, aims to enhance the welfare of women across the state.
The Madhya Pradesh assembly's Budget Session commenced on Monday and will continue till July 19. The state Budget is being presented in the MP Assembly by finance minister Jagdish Devda.
Ahead of presenting the Budget, Devda said that the budget is designed to cater to every segment of society, encompassing women, youth, farmers, and the underprivileged.
"The upcoming budget will be comprehensive, addressing the needs of women, youth, farmers, and the less fortunate across all sectors of society," he said.
