India’s retail inflation, based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), stood at 5.08 per cent in June, said data released by the National Statistical Office (NSO) on Friday. This is the highest recorded in the previous four months. The CPI inflation fell to a 12-month low of 4.75 per cent in May, mainly due to the high base effect and easing food prices.
