Facebook: The social media giant is building a massive new California campus for its employees and local residents. The tech giant moved into a 430,000-square-foot headquarters in Menlo Park, California just two years ago, and now it plans to build "Willow Campus," or what it describes as a "mixed-use village." According a Facebook blog post, the campus will include a grocery store, a pharmacy, and 1,500 housing units—200 of which will be sold for "below market rates."
-
Facebook: Willow Campus will also feature 125,000 square feet of retail space, Facebook says. Facebook says that many of Willow Campus' amenities will be open to the public. "The region's failure to continue to invest in our transportation infrastructure alongside growth has led to congestion and delay," reads the blog post. Construction for the grocery, retail, housing and office portions of the should be completed by 2021, Facebook says.

Apple: Construction is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2017, but the large-scale building work is mostly done. Since April 2017, the 175-acre campus has reportedly been welcoming employees, but it's set to take more than six months to move all 12,000 employees into the new site. It was originally estimated that the campus would cost half a billion dollars; the land alone cost $160 million.
-
Google: Google has officially submitted plans for its new 92,000-square metre "landscraper" London headquarters, with the intention of beginning construction on the building in 2018. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and Heatherwick Studios, the team behind the 2012 Olympic Cauldron, the building will stand 11 storeys tall and stretch parallel to the platforms of London's King's Cross railway station.
-
Google: Combined with Google's current King's Cross office around the corner, and a third building that the company also plans on moving into in the area, it will form a new campus that will house 7,000 Google employees.
