The much hyped release of Rajinikanth starrer Kabali has got a new fan in the Department of Posts. To mark the release of the movie, the department plans to launch a special series of covers that will mark the AirAsia India flights which are all set to fly fans from Bengaluru to Chennai on July 22. “Whenever a new flight is launched, some special covers are also transported on it and they have their own philatelic value. The AirAsia aircraft is the first ‘cine flight’ in the country flying exclusively between Bengaluru and Chennai to help fans watch the first day, morning show,” a Postal Department statement said over its Rajinikanth Kabali move. The limited edition of Rajinikanth's Kabali covers will be subsequently available for sale at Philatelic Bureau Bengaluru GPO and Anna Road Head Post Office, Chennai. Corporate entities such as AirAsia, Amazon, Mondelez, Airtel, Muthoot, Shop CJ among others have already associated with the film to promote and capitalise on its branding. (Twitter)
