The festival awarded the Best Indie Film title to Lipstick Under My Burkha. Best Actress to Konkana Sen Sharma for the same, Best Film was awarded to Pink, People’s Choice Award to Dangal & Bahubali 2 and Best Director award to Nitesh Tiwari for Dangal. (Source: Bollywood Hungama)
On receiving an award for Best Actor for M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Sushant Singh Rajput said, "Thank you so, so much. I’m so honoured. Last time I was in Melbourne it was in 2006 was the Commonwealth Games where I was a backup dancer for the so, so beautiful Bollywood stars and this time I’m here to receive the Best Actor Award."
