IIM Lucknow, which is conducting the CAT exam this year has released the CAT 2017 Examination notification. The notification confirms the CAT exam date as November 26, the Online registration for which would start on the 9th of August, 2017. (PTI)
The exam would be conducted in two sessions across 140 Test Cities and Centres. Candidates who wish to register for the exam can do so on the official website iimcat.ac.in. Common Admission Test or CAT is conducted by IIMs for admission into various IIM and other MBA institutions in the country. It is one of the largest entrance test for admission into PG management courses. The centres will be assigned to the candidates after the last date of the registration so that students can avoid the hassle of blocking slots and cities in the initial registration days. The test would be 180 minutes long and would be divided into 3 sections including Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability. Some questions in the CAT exam this year may be subjective. Students would also be allowed to use basic onscreen calculator for computation. 60 minutes would be allotted to the students for each of the section. (Website)

The last date for the registration is 20th September 2017 till 5:00 PM. Other important dates include October 18th when the students would be able to take download their Admit Card and November 26th when the CAT 2017 Exam would be conducted.
