<b>432 people dead in Andhra Pradesh Telangana heat wave: 10 slides </b> The searing heatwave in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has killed 432 people so far with more deaths being reported today as vast swathes of the country reeled under the unrelenting summer heat. There was no respite in sight with the India Meteorological department warning that severe heatwave conditions are expected to continue in the two worst-hit southern states. The toll in the heatwave in Andhra Pradesh since May 18 rose to 246, after 84 more people succumbed across the state today, according to a senior official of the AP Disaster Management Department. The figure was based on information available from different districts until 7.15 pm. Maharaj Narendra Modi's selfie govt weakened national security, says Raj Babbar: </br><br> Congress leader Raj Babbar today accused the Nranedra Modi government of compromising national security, saying the "selfie" government was busy projecting "Maharaj Modi's" image at international level than protecting country's borders and strengthening internal security. "Within one year, Maharaj Modi's government has compromised with national security and national interest," Babbar said. "The government's priorities are not to protect our borders and strengthen internal security. It has indulged in kneel down politics in order to project the image (of the Prime Minister) at international level," he said. "This government is a selfie government where only one individual speaks. Centre to invest Rs 3lakh cr to improve infra in Maha, says Gadkari: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari today said the Centre is planning to invest Rs 3 lakh crore on infrastructure development in Maharashtra over the next three years. "I am assuring the Chief Minister that we will complete investment of more than Rs 3 lakh crore within next three years in Maharashtra and we will change the basic infrastructure of the state," the Minister for Road Transport and Highways said at the ongoing Make in India Week. He also said that around Rs 68,000 crore of road projects will be completed in the state by December. Gadkari added that the length of National Highways in the state has been increased three fold to 22,442 kms. "At present, Rs 20,000 crore is sanctioned for various road development projects in Konkan area of the state alone," he had said. (PTI)

Hottest day in Delhi as mercury shoots to 44.5 deg C: </br><br> Delhiites today wilted under intense heat wave conditions as the mercury shot up to the season's highest of 44.5 degrees Celsius and crossed 46 degrees mark at the Palam observatory. As the heat wave continued to sweep the capital, maximum temperature was recorded five notches above normal at 44.5 degrees at the Safdarjung observatory, the official reading for the city. However, mercury at Palam weather station settled at 46.2 degrees Celsius, the officials said.
