Earthquake in Delhi: Yet another quake has struck the capital city situated in North India today. While this one has come months after a series of temblors shook the country 2 months ago, yet fear of the so-called 'big one' is making authorities nervous even about the small ones, while people have expressed panic over the potential threat to their life and property. While no reports of deaths or injuries to people or animals has been received, some people were concerned enough to rush out into the open. However, most others did not even feel the quake strike and learnt about it in the media or from kin and friends. India's capital city and the surrounding areas was rocked in the afternoon. While earlier it was reported at 3.7 magnitude, the earthquake in Delhi was measured at 3.5 magnitude on the Richter scale after authorities reduced its force in the light of new data- . reports from the rest of North India are indicating that there is no panic and people are mostly choosing to just talk about it and call home to let their kin know in case they missed it and of course to be be more alert in case others strike later. Initially, everyone was left doubting the veracity of the news as no official reaction had come from any official source, be it the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) nor the US Geological Survey - they are among the most trusted institutions when it comes to earthquake data and warnings. News about any extreme seismological activity is quickly disseminated in public by institutions like these to ensure damage in terms of life and property can be restricted as much as is possible. While this earthquake was restricted to a small part of North India, another one had struck elsewhere in the country.
