Rahul Gandhi has sparked outrage of sorts across India by dozing off in Parliament (Lok Sabha) when a huge discussion was going on over the controversies generated by the beating up of Dalit youths in Gujarat's Una over a dead cow, and thereafter by the shocking comments of former senior BJP leader against Mayawati. However, Rahul managed to maintain his 'head-down' position even as MPs were heard shouting slogans against the government and Mayawati herself slammed the BJP leader in no uncertain terms. But that did not seem to faze Gandhi at all. However, he did have some important business to transact and VIPs to meet thereafter. Check it out here:

The Congress VP woke up from his slumber and was soon seen outside Parliament having an intense chat with senior BJP leader and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. While not much is known exactly what transpoired during the discussion, it was clear that matters required urgent attention from both the opposing parties and that too at the highest levels. (PTI)

While it may be just speculation, with the GST Bill expected to pass in Rajya Sabha with crucial Congress support, the meeting between Rahul Gandhi and Arun Jaitley may have had a lot to do with clearing any remaining hurdles in the path of GST in India. (PTI)
