On occasion of 53rd birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism, devotees from all over India thronged gurudwaras in Punajb, Delhi, Haryana, Patna and Chandigarh. The first Sikh guru was born in 1946 at Nankana Sahib which is near Lahore, Pakistan. ‘Bhog and ‘Akhand Path’ were organised at several gurudwaras.PM Narendra Modi greeted the nation on the auspicious day, and inspired by the Guru’s thoughts he said that the country was moving ahead with the spirit of welfare of 130 crore Indians.
