JEE Main results 2016: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Joint Entrance Examinations Mains (JEE Main) results 2016 today evening at 5 pm on its official websites jeemain.nic.in. Candidates can log on to official websites for JEE jeemain.nic.in or the CBSE website cbseresults.nic.in to check JEE Main 2016 score. Nearly 200,000 candidates have cleared the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2016 for admission to various Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) centres and other top engineering colleges across India, the results of which were declared by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today.

JEE Main results 2016: According to details provided by CBSE, the cut off scores for JEE (Advanced) for General category students was 100, while that of OBC students was 70. The cut off for SC candidates was 52 and ST candidates 48, according to data released by CBSE. Nearly 40,000 girls have qualified for the JEE (Advanced) test while the rest are boys, according to data released by CBSE.

JEE Main results 2016: JEE Main exam 2016 offline paper I and paper II were held on April 3 and the JEE Main 2016 online Paper I and paper II were held on April 9 and 10. Admission into NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical Institutions will be based on this year’s JEE Main 2016 scores. All those candidates who clear the JEE Mains 2016 will be further eligible to sit for the JEE advanced 2016 exam for admission in various IITs. In case the websites do not respond imemdiately, students should not get stressed, the rush on the servers would have slowed them down and this can cause outages. However, if students wait for 5-to-10 minutes, and try again, they will increase the likelihood of accessing their results. Checking after every minute or so will only exacerbate the problem. After JEE Main results 2016 announcement qualified students need to kick-start their preparation for JEE Advanced exam which is scheduled on May 22nd,2016. Registration for the JEE Advanced 2016 exam starts from the April 29th.

JEE Main results 2016: JEE Advanced exam will be held on May 22nd, 2016. It contains 2 Papers i.e., Paper 1 and Paper 2, Paper 1 will be conducted in the morning slot from 9 AM to 12 PM while Paper 2 will be conducted in the afternoon slot from 2 PM to 5 PM.
