Indian Railways to increase online bookings up to 75 per cent: Railways will undertake steps to increase the online ticket bookings up to 75 per cent from the current 56 per cent of the total bookings in next three years. Petrol price cut 50p/ltr, diesel by 46p: Petrol price was on Tuesday cut by 50 paisa and diesel by 46 paisa a litre, much lower than an anticipated decrease as oil companies left cushion for the government to mop up gains accruing from global oil prices dipping to multi-year lows. Petrol will cost Rs 59.98 from midnight tonight in Delhi as against Rs 60.48 per litre currently. Cabsguru raises USD 200K angel funding for cab booking bot: Delhi-based start up NohupTechnologies has raised USD 200,000 angel funding led by Paysense founder for its taxi search, comparison and booking online platform Cabsguru. "Nohup Technologies Private Limited has raised angel capital from a group of investors at a 3.5 Million Dollar valuation. The investment round is led by Prashanth Ranganathan, founder and CEO of Paysense and former Head of Product, APAC for PayPal," the company said in a statement. Sources said that the funding is to the tune of USD 200,000 (around Rs 1.33 crore) which the company will use to strengthen product portfolio.

Female billionaires on the rise thanks to Asian businesswomen: The number of women among the world's billionaires has risen faster over the past two decades than that of men, mostly thanks to Asian female entrepreneurs, a study published on Tuesday showed. There were 145 female billionaires in the world at the end of 2014, compared with 22 in 1995, according to the study, conducted jointly by UBS bank and the PwC auditing firm. Male billionaires were still much more plentiful at 1,202, but their number was multiplied by just 5.2 over the period, against 6.6 for women. Named the Honda Connect, the platform comes with various features including service booking alerts, manual SOS feature, insurance and PUC certificate renewal and ability to locate car among others. Ola launches ride sharing to support Delhi's odd-even mandate: After Uber, cab-hailing app Ola will now offer ride sharing to passengers in Delhi-NCR, a move aimed at meeting the heavy demand expected once the state government implements its odd-even formula. "Ola Share will allow citizens who travel on the same routes to share their rides with users from social groups they are part of, starting on Tuesday. General Motors India to recall 1,01,597 units of Beat diesel: General Motors India will recall over one lakh units of the Beat Diesel, manufactured between December 2010 and July 2014, to replace faulty clutch pedal lever. The company said it will inspect and if necessary, replace the clutch pedal lever in 1,01,597 units of Chevrolet Beat Diesel. "The company has started voluntarily notifying owners of the Beat Diesel to take their cars to any of Chevrolet's 248 authorised service centres across India," General Motors India said in a statement.
