A 23-foot-wide replica of the Moon, which is all of half-a-million times smaller than the real celestial body, was unveiled at the Gateway of India for public viewing to mark 70 years of the British Council in India, here on Saturday evening. The replica, using imagery from NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera and created with the UK Space Agency, is currently on a tour of India, with a two-day stopover in Mumbai – Saturday and Sunday. The Museum of the Moon, as it's known, has been created by British artist Luke Jerram and is a miniature replica – one cm represents five km of the lunar surface. (British Council India Twitter)
