Credit investments by private equity in India touched a record high of $3.2 billion this year till October as global investors captured value, with many companies looking to raise bridge funding as an alternative to raising equity at less-than-optimal valuation level.
Private credit accounts for about 12% of global private capital assets under management.
In India, such investors are putting money in some stressed assets that need support to avoid NCLT processes.
