In a bid to help people carry their Aadhaar information in their smartphones, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) had recently launched the mAadhaar app. This is basically a digital platform which allows users to carry their Aadhaar demographic information, i.e. name, date of birth, gender, address and the photograph linked with their Aadhaar number, in their smartphones. The mAadhaar provides an easy and secure alternative to carrying your Aadhaar card on the go. The mAadhaar application can be downloaded from Google Play Store and users need to have a registered mobile phone number in order to use it.
How can you create your profile in mAadhaar app?
# Enter 12 digit Aadhaar Number or scan your Aadhaar card
# Ensure that your mobile connection is active and that the mobile number is same as that available with UIDAI as your registered mobile number.
# After providing the mandatory inputs, press the button ‘Verify’, available at the bottom of the screen. After pressing the ‘Verify’ button, do not navigate away from the screen.
# If details provided by you are found to be correct, then application will receive OTP and read OTP automatically from the phone.
How to view profile in mAadhaar app?
You can view your profile by following these steps:
#Press your profile on the homepage of the app
# Authenticate yourself by entering profile password
# In the profile screen flip your profile to view address
How to view updated profile in mAadhaar?
# Open your profile
# Select “View updated Profile” on top right corner to view recently updated Aadhaar data
# On Tap OTP will be sent and auto-filled, Tap OK to confirm and view profile
# Ensure network connectivity on your mobile device before initiating profile sync
# Upon successful sync, the latest Aadhaar data will be visible on your screen.
