Vedanta’s share price fell 9% on June 23 after a massive bulk deal. The promoter entity, Twin Star Holdings, sold up to 6.5 crore shares comprising a 1.8% stake for Rs 1,896 crore. It was sold at an average price of Rs 291.36 per share.

Twin Star Holdings (often associated with Twin Star Mauritius Holdings) is a noted offshore holding company and the largest promoter shareholder of Vedanta. Twin Star is ultimately controlled by Volcan Investments. It operates as an investment and holding vehicle, managing significant promoter equity in base metal, oil, and energy operations across India.

Vedanta shares fell 5.3% in the last five trading sessions. The stock has dropped more than 15% in the last one month, post-demerger. However, the stock has given a return of 29.33% in the past six months (ahead of the demerger). Vedanta’s stock performance has advanced 74% over the previous 12 months. 

Vedanta Q4FY26

The company’s consolidated net profit jumped 89% year-on-year to Rs 9,352 crore in the fourth quarter of FY26, marking its highest-ever quarterly profit. This stellar performance came ahead of the group’s planned demerger, which took effect on May 01.

Its consolidated revenue surged 29% YoY to Rs 51,524 crore n Q4FY26. Its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) advanced 59% to a record Rs 18,447 crore. EBITDA margins expanded sharply to almost 44%, up over 900 basis points from a year ago.
