Shares of healthcare, metal and oil & gas were trading in positive terrain in the early trade. At 9.27 am, Sensex was up 25.30 points at 28,323.43. Similarly, Nifty was up 5.40 points at 8,594.05 during the same time.

Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra: The stocks of the both the auto companies will be in focus as their quarterly earnings are expected on Friday. The shares of Tata Motors were up 0.17 per cent at Rs 383.55 in early trade, while shares of Mahindra and Mahindra were up 0.08 per cent at Rs 1,395.40 in early trade.
Bharti Airtel: The stocks of Bharti Airtel will be in focus on Friday as the company on Thursday announced the commercial launch of 4G services in 296 towns across India after testing the market in select cities. It also hinted at a hike in tariff saying that there was a big opportunity in reducing discounts and freebies on voice calls. The shares were trading 0.10 per cent down at Rs 414.5 in early trade.
Shoppers Stop: Shoppers Shop shares will be in focus as the fashion retailer has entered into an exclusive strategic partnership with E-commerce major Snapdeal to create the Shoppers Stop experience in the digital marketplace through a flagship Shoppers Stop store on Snapdeal. The shares were trading up 1.12 per cent at Rs 424.95 in early trade.
Tata Power: Tata Power is looking at acquiring stressed assets across the country as lack of fuel linkages is posing challenges to organic growth, the company chairman Cyrus P Mistry said on Thursday. The shares were up 0.14 pc at Rs 69.85 in early trade.
Maruti: Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL)is planning to have 100 exclusive NEXA showrooms across the country by the end of this financial year. The car major also said that it expects to sell 4,000-5000 units of its maiden crossover SUV, the S-Cross, every month. The company’s shares were down 0.20 per cent at Rs 4442.95 in early trade.
Vedanta: Mining conglomerate Vedanta Ltd is likely to start iron ore mining operations at the Codli mines in Goa on August 10 after a closure for nearly 3 years.
