BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty started off on a weak note on Friday tracking global cues. At 9.27 am, Sensex was down 60.60 points at 28,310.24. Similarly, Nifty was down 24.30 points at 8,565.50 during the same time.

Lupin: Stocks of Lupin are in focus today after the drug major bought Gavis Pharmaceuticals LLC for $880 million. The company also announced its Q1 result on Thursday and reported a 15.96 per cent dip in its consolidated net profit at Rs 525.02 crore for the quarter ended June 30, mainly on account of decline in its overseas sales.
RIL: Reliance Industries is expected to announce its results for the quarter ended June later in the day today. The company’s shares surged 1.5 per cent on Thursday to hit fresh 52-week high of Rs 1,067 intra day on Thursday.
GAIL: The company on Thursday reported a 32 per cent drop in net profit at Rs 424.14 crore for the first quarter ended June on account of drop in LPG and petrochemical production and lower prices.
United Spirits: The Diageo-controlled United Spirits has reported a stand-alone net profit of Rs 19.92 crore for the first quarter ended June on the back of higher sales.
Wipro: Wipro on Thursday reported four per cent rise in net profit at Rs 2,187.7 crore for the June quarter, broadly in line with street expectations.
Axis Bank: Axis Bank will announce it first quarterly results today.
Alstom: The proposed joint venture of Alstom India Ltd and Alstom Transport S.A. has bagged Rs 1,497 crore worth contract from Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd (DFCCIL).
