The BSE Sensex rose 91.32 points, or 0.32 per cent, to 28,314.40 in early trade on Thursday. At 9.51 am, Sensex was down 16.07 points at 28,207.01. Similarly, Nifty was down 7.55 points at 8,560.40 during the same time.

Below are the stocks that are likely to be in focus today:

Snowman Logistics: The company announced its Q1 result on Wednesday post market hours. The company’s revenues for Q1FY16 increased by 20 per cent to Rs 59.20 crore from Rs 49.33 crore in the same period last year. The EBITDA for the quarter increased by 6 per cent to Rs12.42 crore compared to Rs. 11.72 crore. The net profit saw a significant jump of 134 per cent to Rs 5.53 crore from Rs 2.37 crore over the same period previous year. In the early trade, the share was trading down 4.8 per cent on BSE at a price of Rs 108.

Balaji Telefilms: The stocks of Balaji Telefilms will be in focus as Star India on Wednesday sold its entire 25.99 per cent stake in the company for an estimated Rs 108 crore. Most of the shares were purchased by Balaji Telefilms’ promoters – Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor – and Group CEO Sameer Nair. The shares were trading up 5.62 per cent at a price of Rs 100.60 in early trade.

Tata Steel: The stocks of Tata Steel will be in focus after the company on Thursday said that the talks with Switzerland-based Klesch Group for sale of its Long Products Europe business have been discontinued. The shares were trading down 1.62 per cent at a price of Rs 258 in early trade.

GSK Consumer Healthcare: FMCG firm GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare on Wednesday reported a 19.12 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 155.01 crore for the first quarter ended June 30. The shares were down 0.46 per cent at price of Rs 6311 in early trade.

Punjab National Bank: State-owned Punjab National Bank on Thursday reduced interest rate on fixed deposits on select maturities by up to 0.50 per cent. The shares were down 1.32 per cent at Rs 156.95 in early trade.

Fortis, Bombay Dyeing, Tata Global, Arvind, KEI, Escorts, SRF, Trent, TVS Electronics, Talwalkars, Polaris, Banco India, Cummins India, Motherson Sumi, Rupa and Bajaj Electricals may announce their earnings on Thursday.
