Stock markets are expected to be range bound on Wednesday following Asian markets that were mostly higher on hopes that Beijing could stem the rout in its markets without damage to the economy.

The BSE Sensex fell for the fourth straight session on Tuesday by 102.15 points to 27,459.23 .

Here are the stocks that are likely to be in focus today:

Spicejet: The budget airline on Tuesday posted its second straight quarterly profit at Rs 71.8 crore in the three months ended June, helped by a steep 42 per cent reduction in costs and higher seat occupancy. SpiceJet shares jumped on Tuesday after news of the results, ending up 7.4 per cent as the wider market fell 0.4 per cent.

Adani Enterprises: The flagship company of the Adani Group plans to raise up to Rs 6,000 crore through issuance of securities to sustain rapid business growth.

HDFC: Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) on Tuesday reported a 1.2% y-o-y rise in Q1 standalone net profit at R1,361 crore. The mortgage lender said financial results for the June quarter were not comparable with the corresponding quarter of the previous year owing to the delay in receiving dividend from HDFC Bank in which it holds a 21.6% stake.

Yes Bank: The stocks of the private lender will be in focus as the bank is expected to announce its Q1 result later in the day today.

Punjab National Bank (PNB): The country’s fourth largest bank by assets could take control of some of the country’s most heavily indebted steel companies and sell them on as part of a restructuring backed by New Delhi.

SKM Egg products, HEG, Godrej CP, Dabur, Vedanta, UPL, Zydus Wellness, Advanta, Hikal, JSW Steel, Essar Oil, Butterfly, Navin Fluro and Mphasis are some of the major ones which may announce their earnings on Wednesday.
