Tata Motors: Share price of the company settled 2.19 per cent up at Rs 465.20 after Jaguar Land Rover reported 22 per cent jump in global retail sales to a record 2,91,556 units in the first half this year riding on robust demand in Europe and the UK.

Lupin: Pharma firm Lupin shares fell nearly 2 per cent intraday after the pharma major announced that the US FDA inspected its Dabhasa facility from June 29 – July 6 2016 and two observation were issued.

Jubilant FoodWorks, Westlife Development: Shares of the companies hogged limelight on reports that Kerala government has imposed 14.5 per cent ‘Fat Tax’ on junk food. Jubilant FoodWorks which runs Domino’s Pizza settled 2.56 per cent down at Rs 1181.15, while Westlife Development, the parent company of fast food multinational McDonald’s west and south India franchisees, settyled the day 2.17 per cent down.

8K Miles Software Services: Share price of the company settled the day 10.88 per cent up at Rs 1970.10 after the company announced 167.69 per cent rise in consolidated net profit figures for the latest quarter ended June 30, 2016.

South Indian Bank: Share price of the company ended 1.57 per cent up at Rs 22.60 after the bank registered 45 per cent year-on-year rise in net profit at Rs 95.10 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016.

Telecom stocks: Stocks of the telecom companies like Idea Cellular, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications fell on reports that Department of Technology will soon issue demand notice of over Rs 12,500 crore to six telecom operators amid allegations of under-reporting of revenue to the tune of Rs 45,000 crore. Shares of Idea Cellular ended 2.86 per cent, Bharti Airtel declined by 2.28 per cent and Reliance Communications slipped 3.15 per cent on BSE.
