Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX): Shares of the company ended 7.41 per cent up at Rs 1151.05 after reports that the independent commodity exchange has hiked the transaction charges for trades on its platform. The transaction fee structure will be effective for trades executed from October 1, 2016 onwards and will be valid till further notice.

IRB Infrastructure Developers: Stocks of the company were trading 2.16 per cent up at Rs 262.15 (9.40 am) as it has received letter of award from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for Rs 2,100-crore highway project in Rajasthan and Gujarat. Later, the scrip ended 0.53 per cent up at Rs 257.95.

Bank of India: Stocks of the public sector bank ended 1.10 per cent down at Rs 116.50 as it has sold 18 per cent stake in the insurance joint venture Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company Ltd (SUD) to its Japanese partner.

NIIT: Shares of the company settled 1.69 per cent up at Rs 99.20 after it informed bourses that it has acquired the business of Bangalore-based start-up ‘Perceptron Learning Solutions’.

Piramal Enterprises: Shares of the company ended 0.27 per cent up at Rs 1893.45 after the company completed the purchase of four products – Neko Soap, Sloans, Ferradol and Waterbury’s Compound for a total consideration of Rs 110 crore from Pfizer.
