The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty closed firm on Thursday after minutes of the US Federal Reserve’s July meeting showed slim chances of a September rate hike amid mixed global cues. Sensex advanced 118.07 points to end at 28,123.44, while NSE Nifty closed 49.20 points up at 8,673.25.

Gammon India: Shares of the company ended 9.93 per cent up at Rs 16.05 after the infrastructure company bagged a civil Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) order worth Rs 869.99 crore from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for widening of a highway in Karnataka under NHDP.

Bharti Airtel: Shares of the telecom major settled the day 2.07 per cent up at Rs 352.40 after Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) said it will acquire 7.39 per cent stake in Bharti Telecom, the holding companyof Bharti Airtel, for over Rs 4,400 crore.

Federal Bank: Share price of the bank share price of the company closed 1.09 per cent up at Rs 64.85 after after it entered into partnership with MMTC for distribution of Indian Gold Coins, the first-ever national gold offering by the government.

Power Grid Corporation of India: Shares of the power transmission company ended 4.24 per cent up at Rs 181.95 as analysts remained positive about the company post its first quarter results. Power Grid Corporation of India on Tuesday reported 32.90 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 1807.77 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 1355.64 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

India Cements: Shares of the company ended 1.17 per cent up at Rs 125.60 after it posted 16.35 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 43.98 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 against Rs 37.80 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Uflex: Share price of the company closed 1.23 per cent down at Rs 233.70 despite posting a rise of 11.62 per cent in consolidated net profit at Rs 86.16 crore for the first quarter ended June 30 against Rs 77.19 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
