Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) have steadily increased their exposure to select defence stocks over consecutive quarters, reflecting confidence in the sector’s long-term growth prospects.

India’s rising defence budget, stronger focus on indigenous manufacturing, increasing export opportunities and healthy order pipelines have supported institutional interest. Consistent DII accumulation is viewed as a sign of conviction in a company’s fundamentals and earnings visibility.

While institutional buying can be a positive indicator, investors should also assess valuations, execution capabilities, balance sheet strength, and order inflows before making investment decisions, as stock performance depends on business execution and future earnings growth.
