MRF, IDFC Bank, Vivimed Labs among 68 stocks that hit fresh 52-week high on NSE today

MRF, which hit 52-week high on NSE, also hogged limelight on Wednesday as it became the most expensive stock in India in terms of share price by jumping 9,900 per cent, or 100 times, to record high of Rs 50,000 on September 28, 2016, from Rs 500 in August 2001.

MRF Limited,Punjab National Bank, Tata Communications, Mahanagar Gas, Multi Commodity Exchange of India, Shree Pushkar Chemicals & Fertiliser, IDFC Bank, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals, JK Cement, JK Paper, GTL Infrastructure,Eicher Motors, Dishman Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals and Bajaj Holdings & Investment were among 68 stocks that hit fresh 52-week high on NSE on Wednesday. Stock markets snapped three-day losing streak to close higher on Wednesday on the back of buying in metal, banking and auto stocks amid firm opening of European markets. Sensex closed with gains of 69.11 points at 28,292.81, while NSE Nifty ended 38.75 points at 8,745.15.

On Wednesday’s movement, Jayant Manglik, president, retail distribution, Religare Securities Ltd said, “Nifty witnessed marginal rebound on Wednesday, providing some relief to participants after the recent fall. After flat start, recovery in rate sensitive pack i.e. banking, auto and finance aided index to inch higher, which later joined by the others, barring defensives. However, cautiousness ahead of derivative expiry capped upside. Amid all, noticeable buying interest in Midcap and Smallcap space helped market breadth to end strongly on advancing side.”

Mahanagar Gas Limited, Shree Pushkar Chemicals & Fertilisers, Vivimed Labs, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Uniphos Enterprises, TVS Srichakra,Vardhman Holdings, National Steel And Agro Industries, Kesoram Industries, Gulf Oil Lubricants India, Ducon Infratechnologies, Alkem Laboratories and Donear Industries were some of the other stocks from 68 pack that hit fresh 52-week high on NSE.

However, Acropetal Technologies, ANG Industries, AstraZeneca Pharma India, Ruchi Infrastructure, Sab Events & Governance Now Media, Orbit Corporation, Mcnally Bharat Engineering Company, MindTree, Stampede Capital, Swelect Energy Systems, Tata Elxsi and VKS Projects were among 26 stocks that hit fresh 52-week-low on NSE on Wednesday.
