The Multi-Commodity Exchange of India’s 14.65 lakh shares were bought by UTI Mutual Fund. The domestic mutual fund bought these shares at an average price of Rs 2,899.23 on the NSE, taking the total transaction value to Rs 425 crore.
UTI Mutual Fund (UTI AMC) is one of India’s premier and oldest fund houses, managing Rs 3.9 lakh crores in assets. It is backed by four major PSU banks (State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda, and Life Insurance Corporation of India) and T. Rowe Price. The company has a 4.76% market share in the Indian mutual fund space. Also, it holds a 24.36% market share in the National Pension System (NPS) Industry AUM.

MCX Q4FY26
The exchange’s net profit jumped 291% year-over-year to Rs 530 crore in Q4FY26 as against Rs 135 crore reported in Q4FY25. Its net profit margin stood at 57%.
The company’s consolidated revenue from operations came in at Rs 889 crore in the fourth quarter of FY26, skyrocketing 205% compared to Rs 291 crore in Q4FY25. Total income came in at Rs 925 crore, up 189% year-on-year.
EBITDA for the quarter surged 271% to Rs 703 crore from Rs 189 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. EBITDA margin expanded to 76% compared to 59% in Q4FY25.
For the whole of FY26, MCX posted revenue from operations of Rs 2,302 crore, rising 107% from Rs 1,113 crore in FY25. Total income climbed 101% to Rs 2,429 crore.
