Majesco surged over 12 per cent on Wednesday after the company announced a strategic partnership with Elafris, Inc., a supplier of an artificial intelligence powered chatbot messaging platform. Elafris has joined the Majesco Partner EcoSystem to enhance insurers’ customer communication and payment experience.
Majesco shares were trading 9.14 per cent up at Rs 528.95 at 11.15 am. The scrip opened at Rs 496 and has touched a high and low of Rs 543.50 and Rs 496, respectively, in trade so far. Later, the scrip ended 7.15 per cent up at Rs 519.30.
“As part of the partnership, the two companies will work together to seamlessly pre‐integrate Majesco CloudInsurer via the Majesco DigitalConnect platform with Elafris to provide best‐in‐class communication and engagement experience for insurance companies. The integration will support a range of customer engagement and communication using customer’s social network channels for insurance related transactions including issue of auto insurance ID cards, policy payment, service inquiries and more,” the company said in a BSE filing.

Elafris is a provider of a messaging software platform that enables insurers and agents to communicate with insureds via messenger solutions instead of through emails or phone calls.
