InterGlobe Aviation
InterGlobe Aviation, which runs IndiGo airlines, reported a sharp fall in reported profit for the third quarter. Net profit dropped to Rs 550 crore, down significantly from Rs 2,448 crore in the same period last year. After removing one-time costs and foreign exchange impact, adjusted profit stood at Rs 3,131 crore. These exceptional items included costs related to new labour laws, operational disruptions and a penalty imposed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
ONGC
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) shared an update related to its overseas logistics arrangements. The company completed an equity investment in two joint venture firms set up with Japan-based Mitsui O.S.K. Lines.
ONGC invested Rs 40 crore in total and now holds a 50% stake in both Bharat Ethane One IFSC Private Limited and Bharat Ethane Two IFSC Private Limited.
Adani Total Gas
Adani Total Gas reported a marginal decline in profit for the December quarter. Net profit fell to Rs 158.6 crore compared with the previous quarter. Revenue increased to Rs 1,639 crore.
Bandhan Bank
Bandhan Bank reported weaker earnings for the December quarter. Net profit declined to Rs 205.6 crore, compared with Rs 426 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The bank’s Net Interest Income, which represents the income earned from lending after paying interest on deposits, stood at Rs 2,689 crore.
Gujarat State Petronet
Gujarat State Petronet consolidated net profit slipped slightly on a quarter-on-quarter basis to Rs 256.7 crore. On a year-on-year basis, profit increased from Rs 234.1 crore.
Go Digit General Insurance
Go Digit General Insurance reported improved earnings during the quarter. Net profit rose to Rs 162.9 crore, up from Rs 118.5 crore a year earlier.
Ashoka Buildcon
Ashoka Buildcon announced a fresh infrastructure-related development. The company received a Letter of Acceptance from the Public Works Department, Work Division-I, Daman.
V-Mart Retail
V-Mart Retail reported a return to profitability in the December quarter. The company posted a net profit of Rs 87.99 crore after reporting a loss in the previous quarter.
