Eros International Media shares surged over 7 per cent intraday on Thursday after its latest Bollywood flick Housefull 3 garnered over Rs 100 crore across the globe and its on-demand entertainment platform Eros Now inked a deal with Apple TV for showcasing its repository of films and music videos across 80 countries.
At 12.04 pm, shares of the company were trading 4.39 per cent up at Rs 215. The scrip opened at Rs 214 and has touched a high and low of Rs 221.95 and Rs 213.00 respectively, in trade so far.
Later, the scrip closed 4.44 per cent up at Rs 215.10.
Online entertainment platform ErosNow on Wednesday said it has inked a deal with Apple TV for showcasing its repository of Bollywood and regional language films and music videos across 80 countries.
Eros International Media on Monday informed BSE that its movie Housefull 3 has garnered over Rs 100 crore across the globe in the opening weekend. Housefull 3 has been produced by Eros International in association with Sajid Nadiadwala. The film was released globally, including in India, the UK, the US, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates, on June 3.
“With the success of our iOS application on iPhone and iPad, we are strengthening our connection to our subscribers who are using Apple’s products everyday by now bringing a compelling array of Bollywood and regional language content to their living room,” Eros Digital Chief Executive Officer Rishika Lulla Singh said.
ErosNow app is available across most smart TV platforms including Android TV, Samsung, Chromecast and Amazon’s Fire TV, the company said in a statement.
