The All India Spices Exporters Forum (AISEF) will be hosting the first ever International Spice Conference in Goa from January 21-24. AISEF, which represents close to 80% of spices exports from India, is celebrating the 25th anniversary in 2015-16.
“AISEF will also be signing an MoU with IDH Sustainable Trade Initiative, a foundation in the Netherlands, at the spice conference under which both parties will collectively work on projects and initiatives for creating and supplying clean, safe and sustainable spices in India. The two parties have resolved to strengthen and support IDH’s multi-stake holder platform called Sustainable Spice Initiative – India (SSI – India) to achieve the above mentioned objectives,” Gulshan John, chairman AISEF, told reporters.
The conference will be inaugurated by Nils Meyer Pries, chairman, European Spice Association and managing director, Fuchs Gewürze GmbH.
Over 500 delegates including 150 international industry colleagues from 30 countries, 45 speakers and several more have already registered for the event, making this one of the most important events of this year, Gulshan said.
