Crude oil futures slip on low demand

Crude oil futures on Monday declined 0.48 per cent to Rs 6,472 per barrel as participants trimmed their positions on low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for March delivery fell by Rs 31 or 0.48 per cent to Rs 6,472 per barrel in a business volume of 6,065 lots.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading 0.23 per cent lower at USD 79.50 per barrel, while Brent crude was down 0.27 per cent to USD 85.60 per barrel in New York.
