Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai has welcomed the hotel industry’s first branded private jet last weekend. The Four Seasons private jet, a Boeing- 757, completed its Indian sojourn with an exclusive visit to the Taj Mahal in Agra, followed by a stay at the brand’s first Indian hotel in Mumbai. The jet which arrived at Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport on April 2, 2015, has for the past three weeks been home to 52 guests, all of whom have paid upwards of US$ 100,000 per person to participate in this Around the World with Four Seasons exclusive experience.
The first journey for 2015 started at the famous Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles, followed by stops at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Bora Bora, Sydney (including a spin over Ayers rock on the way out), Bali Sayan, the famous Four Seasons Tented Camp in Chiang Mai, Mumbai, Istanbul and finally ends in London. Special experiences and activities on the Mumbai leg of the journey included private shopping tours, hot air balloon rides, chefs tables at San:Qi restaurant and a Bollywood flash mob during a special cocktail evening at AER Bar & Lounge at the Four Seasons Mumbai, amongst other things.
With Four Seasons on the fuselage and the iconic Four Seasons logo on the tail, the completely retrofitted Boeing 757 will feature Italian designed interiors and exterior design customised by the company’s team of design experts, setting the stage for a travel experience like no other. Beginning in February 2015, the Four Seasons Jet will transport guests on bespoke journeys, offering discerning travellers a distinctly Four Seasons travel experience from the moment they book their trip. Four Seasons in-flight staff, including dedicated on-board concierge and a former Four Seasons executive chef, will coordinate with local Four Seasons concierges and hotels in each destination to ensure that the Four Seasons Private Jet Experience is nothing short of extraordinary.
Susan Helstab, executive vice president marketing, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts said, “Taking our legendary service to the skies is a natural extension of what we’ve been doing in our hotels for more than 50 years. The Four Seasons Jet showcases the unforgettable people and experiences that make Four Seasons unique. It speaks to our pioneering spirit and the aspirations of today’s modern luxury traveller in an imaginative new way.”
Now, with the debut of a fully branded Four Seasons Jet, guests can look forward to individually handcrafted leather flatbed seats, globally inspired cuisine and signature Four Seasons service – on board and on the ground. Global in-flight Wi-Fi keeps guests and staff connected, so that spa treatments, tee times, private excursions and more can be arranged ‘on the fly’ to augment each thoughtfully planned itinerary. Travellers will also have access to exclusive experiences available only to Four Seasons Jet passengers.
“The decision to offer one-of-a-kind trips aboard a custom-designed Four Seasons Jet reflects an understanding of our guests’ evolving needs and preferences. It recognises their desire to pair adventure and discovery with the luxury of a fully immersive Four Seasons experience,” added Helstab.
